Diamond connectors use a unique composite ferrule with a metal insert surrounding the fibre which enables centring of the fibre for repeatedly low loss matings. The range of connectors includes the flagship E-2000 and F-3000 connector series and connectors for harsh environments and specialist applications (space, aviation, high power, high pressure, polarization maintaining etc.) are also produced. Connectors can be terminated onto singlemode, multimode or specialist fibres. Pigtails, patchcords or complex cable assemblies can be made and free issue fibre or devices can be supplied to Diamond for connectorization. Mating adapters are available for each connector with a variety of fixing options.
